I want to see as much of the world as possible, tasting great food, sipping delicious drinks, and building the perfect soundtrack along the way. I want to get sucked into incredible novels and Netflix shows, and I want to find cute little bakeries and boutiques in towns you’ve probably never heard of.
As a therapist, my clients and I often discuss how to engage fully with our lives by being mindful of the present moment—and I put that “noticing work” into practice in my own life, too. Before I became an LMFT, I drove down countless interstates, since my previous career required a ton of travel. The good news: I fell in love with exploration. When I settled in Nashville and opened my practice, I got the incredible opportunity to write for a fantastic local magazine on all things arts and entertainment—and in doing so, I fell in love with sharing exploration with others, too.
I’m part of a proud family of road-trippers, and over the years, my husband and daughter have learned to roll with my trips off the beaten path. As a Louisiana girl who’s gotten to spend time all over the country (Texas, Florida, North Carolina, Illinois, and New York, just to name a few!), I've found more favorite places than I could even count, and I can’t wait to share them with you in this space.
